Case Study - Whole Systems and Life Cycle Design

Introduction to Whole Systems Design

Life Cycle Assessment can reveal a high level of knowledge about a product, process, or service. This knowledge can also be used in the design of next generation products, processes, or services by incorporating LCA findings in the design build process. Increasingly this is a preferred approach as waste reduction, pollution reduction, and softer footprints can help maximize product quality and profitability. Life Cycle Design allows for sustainability to be a product criterion in the initial aspects of the design process.
