*PhD Position in CS for an NSF Project in Cybertraining (Description)

Graduate and Undergraduate Research Opportunities

We are seeking qualified Ph.D. and M.S. students in Mechanical Engineering, Biological Engineering, Technology Management, and Environmental Science to be responsible for conducting research in the broad area of food-energy-water processes and systems, particularly, the following research areas:

  • Renewable energy and green chemicals production
  • Precision and smart agriculture process
  • Sustainable aquaculture and water treatment
  • Life cycle analysis and environmental assessment
  • Design and manufacturing processes
  • Supply chain management, blockchain, and operations research

Qualification:

1. Familiar with MATLAB or Python for programming, SolidWorks for design, Aspen Plus or HYSYS for conversion technology simulation, LabVIEW for data collection, and Simulink for real-time control.

2. With a background in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biological Engineering, or Environmental Science.
