Indicator Value =

Example:

  • The values for cancer mortality and heart disease mortality were taken from databases and are in the terms of quantity of people who are affected by this metric in the United States.
  • The weight for each metric is calculated by dividing the value by the total population.
  • The value and weight are then multiplied to calculate the weighted value of the given metric.
  • All of the metric data is then input to the formula which calculates a value for that indicator.
