The Dogon of Mali
Some 800,000 Dogon live on central plateau of Mali and Niger, and are known for their mythology, their mask dances, wooden sculpture and their architecture. While most Dogon continue to practice traditional tribal beliefs, as significant minority are Muslims and an even smaller minority practice Christianity.
