The Ecology and Conservation Biology Club at the University of Idaho

Mission Statement*

The University of Idaho community includes a diverse and vibrant group of students, professionals, and members of the public who are involved or interested in issues relating to natural resources ecology, and conservation biology. We seek to facilitate cooperation and establish a communications network among these individuals, and to promote the necessary political, social, economic and environmental changes that will serve to protect and maintain the diversity of life on this planet.

To achieve this goal, we:

bullet

-Coordinate community service projects and service learning opportunities involving ecological and conservation issues.

bullet

-Promote interdisciplinary communication and collaboration among students, researchers, and members of the public who share a proactive interest in the stewardship and conservation of the natural environment.

bullet

-Organize events in order to provide pertinent educational opportunities related to contemporary environmental issues.

bullet

-Participate in and increase awareness of local and regional conservation and nature restoration projects.
