I made this writing desk for my wife.

Quartersawn white oak, cherry dowels

The aprons are connected to the legs with a mortise and tenon joints (drawbored). All of the joinery, leg tapering, bevel on the top was done with hand tools, and blind dovetails were done with hand tools, the rest was done with machines. The dovetails are not pretty, but they were my first dovetails of any kind.

Finish: Light walnut stain, oil/varnish/wax
