This was the first piece of furniture I made using nothing but hand tools. My wife and I took a class with Robby Pedersen of RVP 1875. My wife is not a big fan of screaming table saws and jointers (me either for that matter), and thought she would enjoy the pace of using hand tools. I thought it would be a good chance to learn more about the use of hand tools in the shop-the experience completely changed how I approach my woodworking. Anyway, we took the class and this bookshelf is the result of my efforts.

The bookshelf is constructed of pine.

Finish: Robby's home-brew finish (boiled down walnut husks and some other stuff), oil/varnish/wax
