Study Questions for Planning

List two purposes in the "visioning" phase of planning for having citizens study and organize photographs of their own town and other towns.
 
Draw a diagram of the Matrix Tool used in the planning process for Orofino, Idaho. Name the five physical features and the five orgaizing themes that for the horizontal and vertical axes of the matrix.
 
How can the matrix tool be used to set community priorities and demonstrate majority rule?
 
What might you provide a meeting of citizens to take them through a "Box of Parts" planning exercise.
 
Study the Site Analysis examples. How are the inventory items analyzed and how is the presented to the client?

 

Past Projects of This Studio


We have contributed to the positive planning and design efforts of many communities during the ten years that this combined studio has been doing outreach work. We have worked in these Idaho communities: Orofino, Riggins, Grangeville, Harrison, Hayden, Sandpoint, Lewiston, Star, Rupert, New Meadows, McCall; these Washington communities - Clarkston ; and these Montana communities - Seeley Lake.
